Weβre excited to share that eFuelution recently completed a spatial blueprint study for the onshore infrastructure needed to support Floating Offshore Wind and Green Hydrogen (and derivatives) production and export in CuraΓ§ao.
With some of the worldβs highest offshore wind capacity factors, the Caribbean Seaβand CuraΓ§ao in particularβhas strong potential to become a key player in the global hydrogen economy.
As a knowledge partner of NLHydrogen and part of the Buccaneer Delft Maritime & Energy Accelerator, eFuelution conducted this study with the support of the governments of CuraΓ§ao and The Netherlands. Commissioned by RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency), and building on TNOβs 2023 analysis of 1, 5, and 10 GW scenarios for Floating Offshore Wind, our work mapped the land required to process offshore wind energy into electricity and convert it into Green Hydrogen, e-Methanol, e-SAF, and Ammoniaβfor local use and export to the Netherlands.
This blueprint is a key step toward unlocking CuraΓ§aoβs sustainable energy potential.
